Teacher assistant at ISCTE, a Lisbon University, I lecture the subjects of Arquitecturas
de Computadores and Sistemas Operativos. I'm also researcher at
ADETTI, ISCTE research centre.
My scientific interests are: security, high performance computing / grids and operating systems.
Some of the projects in which I'm involved are:
- HICOD2000 - European Space Agency (ESA) project in the fields of security and Grids
- Caixa Magica - Technical responsible of the portuguese Linux distribution.
- Arco - Grid project with Biblioteca Nacional for digital library storage.
- PhD - I'm taking my PhD titled "Grid computing in bioinformatics" in Computer Science at IST under the supervision of Prof. Arlindo Oliveira, head of Algos Group.
- EDOS - Leader of the CM team in EDOS, one of the largest IST funded european projects in the area of the R & D of Linux tools & open source software.
