My Island on the SAN? How to Manage Your SAN

Abstract:
SAN is a maze of technological challenges and traditional storage management tasks. New practices like cost accounting and forecasting have been added to augment the cost value ratio. BMC offers Patrol Storage Management and MainView SRM to help storage administrators, SAN administrators and cost center managers with their everyday life. The correlation of storage infrastructure with application related information allows the SAN and Storage Administrators to visualize the business importance of the storage infrastructure.
Bio:
Born in 1962 in Bonn, Feli studied successfully catholic theology and philosophy. She started her IT career with an education at Bonndata in Bonn, that followed an employment as MVS Sysprogrammer at Quelle Schickedanz AG in Nuremberg. Since 1998, Feli works for BMC Software. Feli has worked in numerous PS projects implementing BMC's MainView and Storage products at well known major customers.
