WebSphere Introduction and Overview

Abstract:
This presentation is an overview of the WebSphere family. The categorisation of the WebSphere family into Foundation, Reach & User Experience and Business Integration will be explained. The emphasis on open standards will be covered, the members of the WebSphere family will be introduced, and some examples will be given of how WebSphere has been implemented in customer environments.
Bio:
Colleen Haffey is a Consulting IT Specialist in the Product Introduction Centre, IBM Hursley, UK. She has over 20 years' experience with IBM, most of which has been working with enterprise customers that install large networks of personal computers. Colleen has worked with mainframe operating systems, OS/2, DB2 and, since 1999, WebSphere. She has consulted with many of IBM's largest customers across EMEA, and has recently been responsible for running the WebSphere Version 5 beta program.
