Bio:
Brent is a Distinguished Engineer. He received a MS degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington in Seattle in December 1977, and has been working for IBM ever since (about 25 years). Brent started his career on the IBM 3850 (Mass Storage Subsystem), and was an architect for the 3990, Architect and lead Engineer for the 3990-6. He was lead architect and Engineer for the IBM 2105 (Enterprise Storage Server -- "SHARK").
Brent Beardsley has about 70 patents issued including the core patents on PAV (Parallel Access Volumes).
